Bespoke Fine Art Commissions
-Custom hanging sculptures made for collectors, significant spaces, and the people who want something made entirely for them.
Where it begins.
Traditional dream catchers originate from the Ojibwa tribe, and were said to originate from “the spider woman” known as the grandmother Asibikaashi, who spun these weblike circular objects as protection to be hung over infant and children’s beds as the Ojibwa tribe traveled and expanded away from her care in North America. Originally, willow hoops and sinew were used for the wooden orb shape on which a web is sewn with netting, and sacred items such as beads and feathers, were used to adorn the web. The Ojibwa tribe believed the air was full of dreams...good and bad. Bad dreams were said to get trapped in the web, and the good dreams would enter through the central circle, or slide down the feathers onto the one asleep at the base of the dreamcatcher. Placing them above a crib would protect the little one, while hanging larger ones in the front of the house would bring good thoughts and dreams to the family and protect from evil.
The dream world is seen as a portal between the conscious, and unconscious, connecting the natural and supernatural worlds.
This work is made in that spirit. Not as imitation, but as continuation — a deep bow to the protective, ceremonial power of this tradition, carried forward through copper conduit rings, researched gemstones, ancient materials, and Asfour crystal eyes that radiate high-vibrational light into every space they inhabit.
These are not decorative objects. These are portals of protection, intention, and extraordinary beauty — made for the spaces and the people that are ready for them.
Hang them over a bed or in the front of your home for traditional use of these pieces, or let your imagination run wild for where you could see this work.
The Mother Pieces.
ultimate protectorsWithin each Essy Meyers elemental collection lives a Mother — the largest, most maximalist, most ceremonially significant expression of that collection's energy harnessing the ultimate motherly protection. Where the hanging copper conduits in the shop carry the essence of place and Elemental Power, a Mother piece carries its full power.
Each Mother is built using a maximalist approach — every material from a collection working in concert, hand-wrapped, hand-sewn, meticulously layered over months of work. The web effect — hundreds of individual strands, each one hand-wrapped in fine copper, silver, or brass wire — creates a living, breathing surface that moves with the air, catches light from every direction, and changes with every viewing.
These are serious collector pieces. They are made once, slowly, and with complete devotion.
Disco — The original. The piece that started everything. $3,800
channeling warmth
new beginnings
strength
Before the collections. Before the copper conduit system. Before any of what you see in this shop — there was Disco.
Broken mirror fragments, glass seed beads, tiger eye, labradorite, wood beads, brass, copper, silver wiring, and Czech crystal. A maximalist dream of light and material — every surface catching, fracturing, and radiating light differently. Labradorite flashing iridescent blue-green from one angle, gone from another. Tiger eye glowing warm and alive. Broken mirror sending light in every direction at once.
Disco is named for what it does to a room. It is the piece that proved what was possible — the origin of everything that came after it.

CUSTOM COMMISSIONS.
Custom commissions — for every scale, every space, every story.
IncludedThe Mother pieces are the largest expression of this work. But every piece in this shop began as a conversation — about a place, a memory, a material, an intention. A custom commission begins the same way, but the conversation is about you.
Your home. Your energy. Your stones. Your story.
Custom commissions are available at every scale — from intimate hanging sculptures in the spirit of the Shimmers, to full collection-scale statement pieces, to Mother-level ceremonial works. Every commission is built using the same copper conduit system, intentionally researched materials, and Asfour crystal eye as every piece in the shop — but made specifically for your space and what you want to call into it.
What's included in every commission:
Access to Essy Meyers' personal collection of over 100 different beads and materials — gathered across years of intentional sourcing for their metaphysical properties and extraordinary beauty. Access to a personal Asfour crystal collection ranging from 20mm to 70mm. Direct collaboration with Essy Meyers — Oakland studio visit or Zoom consultation, depending on your location and the scale of the work.
Mother pieces are available for California pickup or delivery only.
