“I am an energy worker. An artist whose hands weave, bend, and sew metal. Integrating selected and found materials into my mixed media work, I seek for these pieces to hold a space of grounding, healing, and energy exchange for their collectors. My journey with this work has been profound…it found me. It has changed me. I am a steward of these pieces and of this work, inspired by nature and the ELEMENTS so that you may remember your connection to MOTHER EARTH…to bone, rock, and dirt. We are created from ancient matter and the stars. We are nature. I hope to empower and renew souls and spaces as we collectively commune with our environments.”

Essy Meyers was born in Walnut Creek, California and currently has a studio in the Bay Area traveling back and forth from Taos, NM to the Bay Area, CA.
She first ventured to the Southwest when she visited New Mexico in 2022, and the magic of this place left a lasting impression. She felt the whispers of prayers hover over the sage...a primal, ancestral remembrance raced through her being...this place shaped who she is today and now channels now through her art. It is this place she always goes back to, and is THE inspiration paired with materiality and Nature through which she creates.
Her art began through her being a collector - of nature (rocks, moss, lichen, feathers, flowers), vintage (antiques, buttons, beads, jewelry, furs, boots), and home decor (old cactus, art). The love for blending found, eclectic objects along with newer statement pieces eventually led her to her current art form.
She was a stylist for almost 20 years where she ran her own clientele and business. After this time, she studied landscape design for two years and uses sketching and her love for outdoor design throughout her current platform. She is an avid gardener and boasts a 120 square foot organic garden on her property, and uses it for education and feeding those she loves. She firmly believes Nature is healing.
