Earth Collection X Joshua Tree - Large "The Rock"
One of a kind handmade mixed media wall art — once it finds its home, it's gone forever.
There is a rock in Joshua Tree that stopped us in our tracks.
We found it on a hike — and we didn't walk away. We stayed. We sat with it, meditated in its ancient, sun-warmed presence, felt something vast and wordless move through us. This piece was born from that encounter. It is our attempt to bring that rock's energy — its depth, its patience, its absolute rootedness in the earth — into your home.
Pictured above: the actual rock that inspired this piece, photographed on the day we found it in Joshua Tree. The white stripe you see running through the stone — that's the shell bead stripe in this work. The dark layered surface — that's the Serpentine and Granite. This piece is a direct translation, material by material, of what you see in these photos.
The materials were chosen to honor everything that rock embodied.
Botswana Agate — a grounding stone that brings emotional stability, strength, protection, and calm clarity to the mind and spirit. In a piece about the most profound rock encounter of our lives, a stone that helps you move through rather than get stuck is everything.
Ancient Stegodon stone beads — remnants of a prehistoric creature that walked this earth millions of years before the desert existed as we know it. To hold this piece is to hold something that existed before recorded time. Stone embodies grounding, enduring strength and stability, offering protection, balance, and a deep connection to the earth's ancient wisdom.
Serpentine — a stone that supports transformation and healing by releasing fear, grounding energy, and encouraging spiritual growth and balance. Its deep mossy green winds through the piece like life persisting against all odds — which is exactly what it does in the desert.
Bone beads — symbolizing ancestral wisdom, strength, and spiritual connection, supporting resilience, grounding, and a deeper understanding of life's cycles and transformation. The ancestors are present in this piece.
A lichen and mossy buildup found on the original rock has been lovingly recreated using seed beads, Serpentine, Copper, Granite, Garnet, and Czech Crystal.
Garnet — a powerful grounding, energizing, and protective stone known for encouraging focus and determination toward goals. In a piece about resilience and survival in one of Earth's most unforgiving landscapes, Garnet is the heartbeat.
Recycled glass from Ghana — carrying the energy of renewal, cultural heritage, and community, symbolizing transformation, resilience, and the power of unity and purposeful creation. Glass that has lived a previous life, been transformed, and given new purpose — embodying the very philosophy of this work.
The Energetic System
Every Essy Meyers piece is built around copper conduit rings — and copper is not accidental. Copper is one of nature's most powerful energy conductors, known for amplifying the metaphysical properties of every material it holds. Every stone, crystal, and element inside these rings is working at full power.
Each material is selected only after researching its specific metaphysical properties — chosen deliberately for what it channels, what it amplifies, and how it works in relationship with everything surrounding it.
At the center of every piece, an Asfour crystal eye receives and radiates high-vibrational light energy — amplifying intention, purifying the space, and providing spiritual illumination to every room it inhabits.
This is not wall art. This is a living energetic portal — a precisely researched, copper-amplified field of intention made to be felt as much as seen.
The Joshua Tree Collection is an offering to the ancient guardians of the desert — channeling resilience, survival, guidance, and abundance. Joshua Trees, named for their upward-reaching branches, are seen as guides — helping souls find direction when the path feels unclear or lonely. Not trees but succulents, they survive for hundreds of years in the harshest conditions on Earth. Their outstretched arms and deep underground roots hold the balance between Earth and sky — a bridge between grounded reality and higher consciousness.
This piece calls to Earth signs — Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo — and to anyone who has stood in the desert and felt something ancient look back.
