Afghan bicone turquoise beads — some of the most prized turquoise in the world, sourced from ancient mines in Afghanistan that have produced turquoise for over 6,000 years. Afghan turquoise traveled the ancient Silk Road — traded from mine to market across Central Asia, carried by merchants whose routes shaped the ancient world.
